In addition to primary care, La Crosse, Wis.-based Gundersen Health System delivers a wide range of specialty pediatric services usually found only in larger cities, such as the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Board-certified pediatric specialists provide expertise in more than 15 disciplines from cardiology, critical care and cancer to neurology, radiology and surgery. There are also nine specialty clinics treating children with physical, emotional and developmental concerns such as cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate, learning and behavior problems, vision and hearing impairment, cystic fibrosis, Down syndrome, spina bifida and others.
