CMN Hospitals Celebrates 35 Years of Partnership with Walmart and Sam’s Club

The 2022 Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign benefitting Gundersen Health System, a proud member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, starts June 13 and will run through July 10. Once again, this four-week campaign will help Gundersen with the critical funds necessary to meet our most urgent needs.

For 35 years, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates across the country have rallied behind the CMN Hospitals campaign to ensure kids and families in their communities are supported during the most trying moments in their lives. When the partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was formed, Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, said “the associates will amaze you,” and those words could not have been truer.

Year in and year out, the associates amaze us with their passion for our cause, their creativity, kindness, and the simple act of making the ask at the register. Walmart and Sam’s Club associates make a positive impact on kids’ health here in our community and in communities across North America.

“Walmart and Sam’s Club’s associates truly help us make miracles happen each year,” said Beth Noffsinger, CMN Hospitals Specialist at Gundersen. “We’re so grateful for their support and their drive to help local kids.”

It is easy to give during the Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign. Simply round-up your change at the register — this option will be available at all checkouts, including online and at the self-checkout lanes. Many stores will also have fundraisers, such as cookouts, throughout the campaign to raise additional money.

Up to 50% of families who end up at a children’s hospital did not expect it when waking up that morning. The funds raised through partners like Walmart and Sam’s Club ensure kids can get the care they need when they need it, no matter life’s circumstances.  Whether you’re shopping in a store or club or online, you have the chance to change kids’ health to change the future.  Every dollar raised goes to support local kids and families, creating the kind of ripple effects that will positively impact our community and our world for years to come.
